Department information
Department information
To show department information, click the department folder in the Organization tree and then click the department name.
The following information is shown:
- Name of the organization - Department name
- Validity for department - For shorter projects you can set the period of validity for each department. This will show when opening the department information.
- Organization unit - The ability to archive/activate a department.
- Inventoried - Date for when the last inventory was performed.
- Contact person - The person responsible for this specific department.
- Telephone - Telephone number to the person responsible for this department.
- E-mail - E-mail to the person responsible for this department.
- Internal emergency telephone number - If an emergency number is entered in the department information the number will automatically be included in the risk assessment and is shown on the safety instructions for all products in this department. If no number is entered the emergency number in the safety instructions will be generated from the supplier´s SDS.
- Miscellaneous - Other information can be added in this box, for example additional information about inventory.
- Food processing department - If selected the department will show Food Safety icon in the Chemical list and in Risk assessments. Risk assessments on Food processing departments will make step 5 Product Safety mandatory in risk assessments.
- Document - Ability to attach documents to this department, for example an Evacuation plan. If a document is uploaded, it will show next to the search field in the Chemical list.
- Contractors - The ability to add contractors who has access to this department. Contractors are same as User groups in Chemsoft.
Note! You need Write permissions in Organization to edit and save department information.
